Organized by the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE), hosted by the Bureau of Academic Departments of CAS, the General Office of CAE, and China Science News, the Top 10 China Science and Technology Progress News in 2022 and the Top 10 World Science and Technology Progress News in 2023, as voted by CAS members and CAE members, were announced in Beijing on January 12, 2023.
This annual selection activity has been held 29 times so far. The results of the selection have been widely reported by the news media and have generated strong repercussions in the society, enabling the public to further understand the development of science and technology at home and abroad, and playing a positive role in popularizing science and technology.
